The congress takes place at Hoogeveen. Hoogeveen is characterised by the combination of nature, space and history. In the Hoofdstraat, these elements come together. Surrounded by shops, you’ll find the largest fountain of the Netherlands: the Cascade. Do you wish to know more about the history of Hoogeveen? Then visit, among others, the stories yard in the public library at the Willemskade 22. Here you will find the museum collection of historical Hoogeveen. An alternating setup tells the story of Hoogeveen on the basis of a number of masterpieces from the museum’s collection. Entrance is free.
Climate in the Netherlands
Hoogeveen has a mild oceanic climate. The day-time temperature early April ranges between 7 and 13 °C. Rain is possible.
Bank and ATM
Bank are open weekdays only, between 9:00 and 17:30. ATM machines are open 24/7. The Euro is the official currency in the Netherlands. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport, Central Station and at most hotels and banks throughout the city.
The voltage in the Netherlands is 230 Volts, 50 Hertz. Sockets meet European regulations and use the two-round pin system.
The time zone in The Netherlands is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) +1 hour in winter and +2 hours in summer.

The congress fee does not include insurance. All participants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in your country of origin.
